Enologist – Full Time:  Surry Community College, a comprehensive two-year college, is located in vibrant Northwest North Carolina.  SCC is a learning-centered institution devoted to building critical thinking skills.  Required:  Master’s Degree in Enology/Viticulture, Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field and demonstrated capability to successfully process wines from harvest through finishing and packaging in a commercial winery.  Demonstrated ability to work as a team member with effective and professional communication skills.  Preferred: Doctorate degree in enology or related field and successful teaching experience.  Duties: Classroom and laboratory instruction of enology and related credit and non-credit courses, program and curriculum development, and student advising.  Preference will be given to applicants with significant skills and experience in the principles of wine making. Duties include processing quality wines from harvest through finishing, packaging, and marketing; maintaining our commercial winery including all regulatory paperwork involved, and working with regional wineries and organizations to improve and expand the industry.
