Position Title:  Research Assistant Professor or Research Associate Professor

Position Description:  This is a professional-track (non-tenure) faculty position at the Research Assistant Professor or Research Associate Professor level. The successful applicant will serve as the Enology Program Leader for the Institute for Continental Climate Viticulture and Enology (ICCVE).

The faculty member will develop a strong enology research program that serves the needs of the grape and wine industry in the Missouri and surrounding region. The individual will work with the industry to prioritize enology research needs, and coordinate all enology research projects conducted by either the Institute or other investigators on or off campus. The person is expected to secure external research funding from different sources, publish research results in refereed journals and at professional meetings. He/She will present new research findings at workshops and short courses the Institute organizes and contribute enology educational material to industry publications, newsletters and other electronic communication devices.

Qualifications:  An earned doctorate in enology, food science or related fields.  The successful applicant must have a strong record of research and teaching in enology. Prior experience in working with the grape and wine industry is necessary for the associate rank. Administrative and leadership experiences in a similar capacity are desirable.
