Washington State University – Director of Viticulture & Enology Program with a Rank of Associate Professor or Professor

The College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resources Sciences (CAHNRS) seeks an internationally recognized leader in viticulture or enology to serve as Director of its Viticulture and Enology Program.  The position will include an endowed chair in Viticulture and Enology and will be responsible for providing leadership for the program.  The director will also teach undergraduate and/or graduate curriculum in Viticulture and Enology.

This program is comprised of more than 20 faculty with appointments in six different academic departments – Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Biosystems Engineering, and Crop and Soil Sciences.  These faculty reside at WSU-Pullman, WSU-Tri Cities, and at the Irrigated Agriculture Research and Extension Center in Prosser and work in interdisciplinary teams to conduct teaching, research, and extension programs to serve the State’s growing wine and grape juice industries.  The Director position will reside at WSU-Tri-Cities.

Required: Earned Ph.D. in discipline relevant to the position. Qualified for appointment as an associate professor or professor and tenurable in a department within the college.

Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and/or outreach activities related to one of the various disciplines encompassed by the Viticulture and Enology Program.
