The Board of Directors held its annual retreat last month with a focus on long-term planning for the annual conference and the AJEV (Journal). A task force will evaluate the current publishing timeline by addressing the number of Journal issues related to increased article submissions. Other key actions being addressed by ad hoc committees include: (a) peer alliance with university extension programs to enhance disseminating information on emerging issues and (b) collaborative efforts with other organizations that may ensure a wider range of discounted program services or fees for ASEV members. Members will be surveyed to collect their input regarding these potential actions.
