Chemeketa Community College welcomes applications for a full-time Wine Business and Marketing instructor.

Position Summary: The Wine Business and Marketing instructor reports to the Director of Agricultural Sciences. This position will have primary responsibility for leading and teaching the wine sales and marketing portion of the two-year degree program and for assisting with the Vineyard Management/Winemaking program, as needed; advise students; offer continuing education classes, workshops, and seminars related to wine sales and marketing; may be called upon to teach in a distance education mode and will be encouraged to develop web-enhanced and/or web-based instruction. In addition, will be expected to help develop, manage and maintain the college wine tasting room to reflect current industry trends. Close interaction and cooperation with the wine grape industry representatives is essential. Willingness and ability to work in collaborative multi-disciplinary teams and to complete tasks on time. Expected to work cooperatively with faculty and staff in the department and college. In addition, expected to expand the College wine sales program of our “brand”, including developing a web presence to sell wine, wine club and other creative ways to involve students in the “hands-on” process of selling and marketing wine that is made from the College vineyards and at the College winery.

Salary: Salary placement is subject to current contract depending on education and experience. Initial salary placement would normally be at step 3; $48,892/yr.

Requirements: The successful candidate will have: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in wine business and marketing and/or related field from an accredited institution -OR- Five (5) years occupational experience in wine business and marketing or related field.
