The volunteer Board is the governing body for the entire association. The Executive Committee which is directed by the Board is comprised of the four officers (President, First Vice President, Second Vice President and Secretary-Treasurer).

The ASEV Board of Directors holds regular meetings at least six times a year which are typically held in January, March, May, June, August (includes approval of annual budget) and November. Additionally, the Board conducts an annual retreat to focus on strategic planning in target areas for future years.
