Each year, ASEV awards numerous scholarships to students pursuing a degree in enology or viticulture, or in a curriculum emphasizing a science basic to the wine and grape industry. This year, ASEV has added a new scholarship to the traditional scholarships. The ASEV Presidents’ Award for Scholarship in Enology and Viticulture will honor two students with $12,500 each (one for enology and one for viticulture), for a total of $25,000. To be considered for this scholarship, students will be assessed not only on their grade point average but also on their intent to forge a career in the wine and grape industry. Eligibility requirements and applications are available here. Those who apply are automatically considered for the traditional scholarship. The deadline to submit for all scholarships is March 1 of each year. For more information about the ASEV Presidents’ Award for Scholarship or to apply, click here.
Do you have original research or research updates pertaining to
viticulture or enology? The ASEV National Conference, set to
take place June 26 – 29, 2017 in Bellevue, Washington, may
be the right place to share your work. ASEV is pleased to offer a
Call
for Abstracts that must be submitted by February 15, 2017.
Abstracts related to wine oxidation chemistry are encouraged. For
more information, click here.
ASEV has made several changes in the last few years, including
the Catalyst, a new scholarship, early career mentorship, themed
seminars and much more. We are not the same Society of a decade
ago or even five years ago, and we would love to talk with you
about ASEV, the changes we’ve made and how we can elevate or
enhance your career. Visit the ASEV booth at the Unified Symposium during
trade show hours on January 25 and 26, 2017.
Approved by the ASEV Board of Directors on January 19, 2021.
