International Wine & Grape Symposium Set in Pacific Northwest
SEATTLE, WA, April 20, 2010… The latest advances in grape growing and winemaking in cool climate areas will be the focus of the two-day symposium where world-renowned researchers and industry leaders will present industry best practices and the latest research findings. The 7th International Symposium on Cool Climate Viticulture and Enology will be held at the Washington State Convention Center on June 20-22, 2010, with regional wine tours held earlier in the week.
Hosted by the American Society for Enology and Viticulture (ASEV) Northwest Chapter and in conjunction with the 61st ASEV National Conference, the comprehensive two-day program provides a variety of sessions to choose from, including combined discussions on topics in the intersection of grape and wine production, as well as separate lectures on these respective topics. The symposium will provide guests the opportunity to hear top scientists from around the globe describe the latest research in grape production and winemaking. As an added benefit, the local venue serves as the staging point for multiple tours highlighting the Pacific Northwest’s viticulture and winemaking industry, including three-day trips to western Washington and Oregon and a day trip to Woodinville, Wash.
Following the International Cool Climate Symposium, ASEV will hold its National Conference on June 23-24 at the same venue.
