Membership in the American Society for Enology and Viticulture enables you to enhance your profession and support the future of the wine and grape industry.
ASEV membership classifications for individuals are as follows: You may review the specific parameters of each of these classifications in the ASEV Bylaws.
Professional Membership
Professional membership in the Society is available for individuals who are interested in any aspect of viticulture and enology, and support ASEV’s objectives.
Student Membership
Student membership in the Society is available to any undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited institution of higher learning who is currently enrolled: (a) as a full-time student, and (b) in an enology or viticulture DEGREE program or a closely related scientific field of study.
Closely related scientific fields of study are deemed to be those with academic programs inclusive of enology or viticulture related coursework and research (for graduate studies, thesis or professional). Please note that if ASEV is not familiar with your particular academic program then we may need your assistance in obtaining additional information. Employment is not a criteria for student membership. Certificate program enrollees are not eligible for Student membership.
Student Membership Review Forms are emailed to current student
members who are due for review based on the previous membership
information provided to ASEV. This is done on a quarterly basis.
If you believe that your student membership is due for review
based on completion of your educational degree, please download
the review form and submit it to the ASEV office. ASEV membership
is based on a calendar year.
Approved by the ASEV Board of Directors on January 19, 2021.
