ASEV Extension Distinction Award Presentation Set for August 5
This year’s Extension Distinction Award Presentation, “Land Grants and Grapes: Traditional Approaches for Modern Extension Programs,” will be presented via webinar on Wednesday, August 5, at 9 a.m. (PDT). Dr. Michelle Moyer is the 2020 Extension Distinction Award recipient. She is a prominent player in the Washington viticulture scene as an extension specialist and an associate professor at the Washington State University’s Department of Horticulture.
Dr. Moyer is currently working on a variety of research and extension projects, which include nematode management, rootstock evaluation and powdery mildew management. She is also investigating fungicide resistance with her work as a project director for a USDA-SCRI-CAP project, titled “FRAME: Fungicide Resistance Assessment, Mitigation and Extension Network for Wine, Table and Raisin Grapes.”
