Do you have original research or research updates pertaining to
viticulture or enology? The ASEV National Conference, set to take
place June 18-21 in Monterey, California, may be the right
place to share your work. ASEV is pleased to offer a Call for Abstracts that must be
submitted by February 15, 2018. For more information about the

The essence of the American Society for Enology and Viticulture
is the people who support each other and the work that results
from this community. With wholehearted appreciation, we
want to acknowledge and thank the generous supporters of the
Dennis Martin Memorial Scholarship Fund, listed here.
We also would like to thank Steve Dorfman of the Ciatti Company.
Without his diligent efforts, this scholarship fund would not
have come to fruition.
The Dennis Martin Enology Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to
a top enology student annually, starting with the academic year
2018-2019. This scholarship is one of several scholarship
opportunities offered to students pursuing a degree in enology,
viticulture or a curriculum emphasizing a science basic to the
wine and grape industry. For more information about ASEV
scholarship programs, click
here. Applications are due March 1.
The American Journal of
Enology and Viticulture (AJEV) will have a new look starting
January 1. AJEV’s redesigned cover will include a full-color
photo from a featured article.
Meanwhile, here are highlights from the current issue (68:4):
The ASEV board has charged the Technical Liaison
Committee (TLC) to liaise with wine and grape industry
governmental agencies in order to remain engaged and informed
about current and upcoming regulatory matters or international
standards in regard to all aspects of domestic and international
trade.
Here at ASEV, volunteers are the heart of the organization and
essential to our success. Our board and committee members are all
volunteers. They continually use their voices to shape and
influence the wine and grape industry. We’d love to have you join
us. Click here to find out how you can
be a part of this community.
Access to decades of peer-reviewed research, discounted fees to
the Unified Symposium, the ASEV National Conference and other
ASEV sponsored professional development events, and videos
on-demand are just some of the membership benefits you can enjoy.
