Keynote Presentation to Wrestle with Myths of Winegrowing
Wines & Vines reviewed Terroir and Other Myths of Winegrowing as “a must-read for winegrape growers and winemakers who have ever wrestled with the most important myths of winegrowing or debated them with colleagues.” Its author and University of California viticulture professor, Dr. Mark A. Matthews, has identified the most prevalent myths of winemaking – berry size, vine balance, stressed vine and terroir – in his book and has challenged how these myths hold up scientifically.
Dr. Matthews will explore the scientific evidence for these myths during his 2018 ASEV Keynote Presentation at the 69th ASEV National Conference on Wednesday, June 20.
