Keynote Speaker Dr. Susan Bastian Explores Context Factors Affecting Wine Consumer Behavior, Choice and Perception
Wine Enologist and Consumer Behavior Researcher Dr. Susan
Bastian of The University of Adelaide, Australia, will be
presenting this year’s keynote on June 19, 2019, at the Napa
Valley Marriott Hotel.
Dr. Bastian’s keynote presentation will explore the growing body of literature that emphasizes how the sensory properties of wine represent only one of many factors influencing a consumer’s perception of a beverage and that changing the context can alter a consumer’s responses and decisions. Current and future applications of technology as well as the debated use of wine profiling of consumer product optimization will be discussed.
