Wine Research Centre’s Dr. Castellarin to Keynote at the ASEV National Conference
Associate Professor Dr. Simone D. Castellarin in the Wine
Research Centre at The University of British Columbia in Canada
will keynote this year’s National Conference. He will be
presenting, “Fruit Ripening in Vitis
vinifera: The Interplay between Biology and Environment” on
June 21 at 3:45 p.m. PDT.
His talk will focus on the ripening process in grapes and the biological mechanisms that determine grape and wine quality. He’ll discuss how metabolite accumulation is affected by environmental factors, including water availability, temperature and light.
